The Bonvallet House is located on a steep wooded lot overlooking Chickamauga lake. The home is oriented to preserve the family’s privacy from the road and neighboring homes but to take full advantage of the waterfront location. The modern interpretation of vernacular architecture fits the natural site and family’s relaxed lifestyle.
Virtually every room on the main living level of the house has a view of the water. The kitchen boasts an open design with state of the art appliances and cabinetry. The kitchen and family room can be opened to the deck and lake views by way of a full height insulated glass garage door. The lower level of the house is designed to accommodate two growing boys and their friends.
The upper level deck provides a comfortable connection from indoors to out. It surrounds a pool and patio area. An upper level walkway leads to the top floor of the two story gazebo with an outdoor kitchen. The pool level is spacious, sunlit, and maintains a wonderful view of the lake beyond.
