TWH Architects was established in 1974 to offer planning, architecture, and interior design services. We are regionally recognized as a leader in the design of schools, commercial/retail, medical, media broadcast and office buildings. Locally, we have been awarded contracts in a wide variety of project types including institutional, health care, commercial/retail, correctional, multi- and single family housing, office, educational, municipal, and recreational. We can provide project planning, feasibility studies, and programming, as well as complete architectural and interior design services. With our expertise and experience we can assist with the entire spectrum of physical change from new construction and expansion to renovation and modernization.
Our professional staff is seasoned and prides itself on imaginative and innovative design approaches coupled with strong technical expertise and disciplined project execution. This energy and effort is reflected in our strong growth through repeat clients and client referral. TWH has received numerous design awards from the Tennessee Society of Architects, Masonry Institute, American Society of Landscape Architects, Rebuild Tennessee, and ICSC, as well as frequent media recognition for many projects.
We are involved in all phases of project development, from site evaluation and feasibility studies through design, space planning, construction documents and project administration. We are licensed in twelve states, in addition to being certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. With our diverse geographic experience we are able to work with local governments and planning authorities throughout the country, and create design responses appropriate to the wide variety of climatological demands, geographic conditions, and regional styles found in the United States.
Our goal at TWH Architects is to create design solutions that not only meets our clients’ goals and expectations, but which also adhere to principles of sustainability. To meet these goals our staff and consultants are committed to green architecture and preservation of the environment through the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. We believe that preservation, and sustainability are inherent components of all design and construction considerations.
